The British postal system is in a right mess, don't you think? It would seem pretty simple to collect the mail from the postbox/office, drive to the sorting office, then post to the correct houses. Yet because everyone who works as a postman is as thick as :swear: , they can't seem to do it properly!
The Tyan Tyger motherboard I bought of ebay has been lost in the post - and all Royal Mail can say is: "Sorry, you should have insured it"! :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear:

Yeah it's ridiculous, somewhere a Royal Mail worker is sitting there looking at a piece or plastic with lots of little shapes on it and going "What the f**k, I thought it was a tiger?!"
Sorry to hear it though, I hate the hassle of the post offices, acting like you owe them something, well you don't because you're paying them *angry face*

Yeh Royal Mail sucks. The best is when you go to pick it up and they ask you for proof of ID. WTF?!? You stuck the thing through my door in my house! So unless you did something wrong OBVIOUSLY its mine and I dont need to prove who I am

    :D Hilarious!

I bought a laptop of eBay once, and they delivered it next door! Obviously, people who work at Royal Mail can't read!

"Is that number 3? Could be a number 6? Doh! My head hurts"

Luckily, the girl who lives next door dropped it off at my place. I was lucky because next door is full of flats, and if someone else had found the parcel, well I wouldn't of had a laptop!

Royal Mail can be notoriously slow. My mum's tried to send parcels with money/presents to mongolia, and its always the ones with money that get lost.

There was a program on the telly about Royal Mail a few months back. It dealt with all the organsied gangs that work within the sorting offce. They carefully feel the contents of the envolope for cash, bank cards and checks. They put the envolopes to one side and steal them when no one's looking! They sell the bank cards on the black market.

The delivery system in my part of London is a disgrace. The post never arrives on time - if at all. My bank uses TNT mail now, which is just more evidence of Royal Mail's poor service

All i can say is 2 things:

    1. It was probably never sent by the ebayer.
    2. Why bother using RoyalMail, i always tell sellers or whoever to use CityLink or TNT. - Just as cheap.

Other than the incredibly bad service created by organised crime within the Royal Mail, it is owned and run as part of the government, hence it will always run as even if it is dirt poor the government will always pay the wages / maintenance needed.

This you see then allows the Royal Mail to provide a poor quality service as it will run whether or not it is crap or not. It is also upping the prices on delivery and postage stamps due to "competition" and other things.

It's basically because other companies like Citylink or TNT are very cheap..

And when ever u send cash, cover it in cardboard, cellotape it, then wrap it in foil, this means xrays can't see the cash. - just cardboard.

Personally I'd like the give a round of applause to DHL, last night I ordered my PDA from O2 and got a message about half an hour later (about 6pm) that it was dispatched to DHL. This morning at 9am a ring on the door, there is my beloved new PDA, now I've had things like that with Royal Mail and recieved them 2/3 days later.

if any one is interested my new PDA/Phone is the O2 XDA MINI S)

I don't know about the rest of the USA, but US postal service in New Jersey is awesome. I usually get my stuff sooner than expected and only paying like 3USD for the shipping cuz its "priority mail" Heavier stuff i use FedEx which idon't know why they call it that b/c its not federal, but whatever they're both awesome. UPS in New Jersey stinks like goat ass. They take way longer and always leave a sticker on your door saying "we came and u weren't here" but they only rung the doorbell once, waited for 2 seconds and left.....i hate you UPS....

Two items were lost around the Christmas period, they were both from different sellers. Both items were sent recorded delivery, and I have the reference number as proof. As it happens, i've received a replacement from one of the sellers, and i am awaiting a deal with the other one.

Therefore, this IS a problem with Royal Mail.
