As computers have become flashier, we also have the side effect of extremely tacky, ugly, bad color coordination, etc.

I think Biostar has the ugliest motherboards these days. Now, their TForce series isn't all that bad, but their regular boards just look terrible. I think Abit comes in second, with their barf-orange PCB color.

Cases: NZXT has to be the company that I see as producing the tackiest cases out there. I'm the guy that thinks the Alienware cases are okay at best, but I see NZXT (and occasionally Raidmax) take these designs and make them ugly.

Some of ECS's new motherboards lack taste! They mix horrible shades of purple, green, orange, green and god knows what! That's too many colours on one board for me!

Well we don't often look inside our PC cases when doing a renovation, but I'd say the ugliest manufacturer has to be DFI. OK, thats being a bit harsh. I was basing it on the colour of the box, not the motherboard itself.

I think Leadtek has some pretty plain jane Video Card PCB's, but on the other hand, they do have some extravegant cooler designs.
Also, i think ASUS' Ventoo case is the ugliest thing i've ever seen.

MSI and Gigabyte have done the best, IMO, about color coordinating. They use a lot of colors to easily mark connectors, but the way they do it is pleasing.

I agree about ECS having a bad color combo...a purple PCB would work fine, but it's what they use to match it. I think the ugliest thing they've used is the green cooling shroud on their Extreme line of motherboards.

Asus is highly unlikely to change, IMO. They are the #1 company in motherboard production in the world, and I don't think they feel the need to color their PCB's, going with a natural color of tan. I don't know Epox reasoning, but I suspect that PCB color is not a large selling point for them.

DFI's LanParty color's aren't necessarily my favorite, but it's pretty hard to blow it with a black PCB. Very, very hard. If you do that, then you've been able to master mobo fugliness.
