I have a NETGEAR DG834GT all in one router/modem which i have set up and linked up with 2 other pcs in our house. All can share files, the internet and the printer sucessfully. My problem is that since I have set it all up we can no longer download the windows updates or open new accounts with MSN, the pages just wont load and I am getting an error message from the update page. I have followed the resolutions given by this message with no success. I have configured all firewalls but still have no luck. I have even tried to acesss the windows and MSN sites with all firewall and anti virus off and again no luck. I am thinking this problem is to do with the router firewall but there is no way that I can see to switch it off and I am now at a loss as to what to try next. Any advice would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks for your reply. I have managed to get it sorted... had to adjust the MTU to 1400 to work with AOL. Thanks again Shelley
