    Hi, does the X800XT PE support Adpative Anti-Aliasing as i go into catalyst control center, and i notice that the option for AAA is greyed out, so whats that all about, i am sure my card supported it before with some other drivers :s

    Hi Willz, I've found this on the internet about enabling AAA on ATI boards, it's written for Catalyst Driver version 5.9 which, but maybe it works for the latest version 6.4 as well;

    How to enable Adaptive anti-aliasing on ATI boards

    Using adaptive anti-aliasing on ATI boards is simplicity itself, provided you're running CATALYST 5.9 and aren't afraid of a little registry editing.

    Assuming you're already running this driver set, open up Registry Editor (RegEdit from the 'Run' dialogue box) and navigate through the following folders:

    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    - SYSTEM
    - CurrentControlSet
    - Control
    - Video

    Here is where things get tricky, as you need to find the ID number within the parentheses that matches your current video card driver installation - You may find that there are a number of these dependant of how many drivers you've installed over the life of your Windows installation. The easiest way to find the right one is by checking out the display adapter and driver version number listed under the 0000 folder of each entry, until you find one matching what you're looking for (The driver version for CATALYST 5.9 should be xxxx).

    Once you've picked the right {number}, under the 0000 folder you need to create the following entries using the New --> String Value option:

    ASTT_NA, set to a value of 0 - This adds an option to CATALYST Control Center to enable adaptive anti-aliasing.

    ASTT, set to a value of 1 - This is the important one, which actually activates adaptive anti-aliasing.

    Now this is set, you're ready to go - All you need to do is turn on anti-aliasing (either within a game or through CATALYST Control Center) and adaptive anti-aliasing will also be enabled.
