Compression apps

    Is there any compression apps out there, i have 2 called winzip and powerarc but cant find any other ones, if anyone knows of any please tell me, i am desperate to do alot of compression :p

    Ohm and also, is it possible to compress somthing ther size of about 150gb to maybe 50gb?

    Yes you can use 7zip, that is quite good. RAR is quite a good compression format, but bzip2 might be even better.

    I personally use Winrar.....I never zipped files, just unzip...~!

    How do i even use bzip2?

    Sorry bzip2 is the compression library in windows. winRAR can handle the archive, you may need to specify what type of archive to make though (bzip2) (.bz2 extension)

    Ah, i got it working, i found that the format called 7z was better, compressed 63mb into just over 5mb, which is very good.

    well guys, i use Alzip cos it opens everything compressed, even .ISO images & its free for home users
