    I've been running it for a bit myself, it definately uses some WINE on the backend but it still runs surprisingly well. It's pretty useful, for a glorified toy. :)

    I don't get it. What makes Picasa so special in a world full of native Linux photo viewers?

    Well, nothing really. It is native though, as you don't need WINE to run it; it's just been compiled with WINE for Linux compatibility so it's not as native as it might be. But even so, it's a pretty nice & useful tool, and the search feature is awesome when you have a lot of pictures.

    I like how easy is makes it to upload multiple photos to many different sites.
