I'm putting together a comp for my friend and he has an AMD Thunderbird 1.33 266FSB CPU w/1X256 PC133 ram. His motherboard fried and I'm looking for a cheap motherboard that supports this CPU, PC133, has an AGP slot and preferably has onboard sound. Can anyone help me out on finding a cheap one? Those are the only features it needs. I've been playing with Intels for awhile and have forgotten my AMD roots, thanks.

There is the ABIT KT7A on ebay right now for $35 or if he wishes to go DDR (which I recommend) he can get the Soltek SL-NV400_L64 for $76 at newegg.

I have the Soltek 75FRN2-L which is the dual channel version of this board and I couldn't be happier with it. It performs great and is very stable.

I suggest going DDR because a motherboard dying is always a good opportunity to upgrade. The thing is he'll need new memory. But if not, I think the Abit is a good choice.
