    Hello everyone!

I called Toshiba to ask this, but the dude was complaining about security and warranty crap and refused to answer me, plus the serial number was blurred...
Anyways, I have a Toshiba Satellite A75-S209, and I was wondering if this hard drive would work, since mine crashed:

Western Digital Scorpio 60GB 2.5" ATA-6 Notebook Hard Drive - OEM at Newegg.com

The one I currently had was a Toshiba HDD2189, which according to this site:

Toshiba (HDD2189) 60 GB Hard Drive Specs - DealTime

it's a DMA/ATA-100 (Ultra). But NewEgg only has ATA-6 and Serial ATA-150... Will any of those be compatible, or should I buy somewhere else? Thanks!

No, you can't use that SATA drive because that's a different interface. I'm pretty sure you can use that drive you listed because they both have the same interface (ATA).

I did some research and i found out that ATA 6 has added support for
ATA DMA/100, so it should work. source of info computer hope
look in the ATA 6 section.

Not your fault Kixdemp, but something or other in the content of that thread attracted like 4 different forums spammers in the course of two days. We banned them all and deleted the posts, but I thought it best just to close it since it's solved anyway.
