Okay, u know what I'm talking about when I say "glossy" right? Those LCD's which look like the display is made out of glass. Anyway, when I shop online, how do I tell if a model is that glossy or the more common type? For example, this monitor. From the pics it looks like the "regular" kind but is there any way to tell for sure? Is there an official name for this glossy feature that I can look for in the specs?

Don't know of any way to tell from the specs, but I know what you mean. My laptop monitor is an Acer, and it has the glassy finish. i don't really mind the normal types.

Yeah I don't mind the normal types either; I think I actually prefer them. So guess I want to make sure its the normal type and not glassy lol. Not that it matters a whole lot really... I wouldn't be upset or anything about a glassy one. I just don't know why this detail isn't somehow listed; I'd think some people might actually care enough for it to influence a decision.
