ok soo onto another step in building my comp. this system is goign to be used for Video Editing, with hopefully HD capabilities, Audio Production, and Graphic and web Design.

first step i would think would be choosing a CPU type. I would like to go dual core procesor soo between AMD 64 X2 and Intel Duo Core. which would more likely fill my needs best. and of course be most effient in pricing too. im trying to keep the processor under 200.

core 2 duo is the way to go. ebuyer.com - Components » Processors » Core 2 Duo » Product details

can be OC like crap and u can Probably OC it up to 3ghz easily on air cooling. plus it will kisk amd's ass and is more future proof. (im thinking that i shudve waited for a bit, oh well shit happens)

I would get the 6300, just read up on it, read on the reviews etc.., when i bought my 3700+ amd, i looked at reviews, i heard it was a good overclocker, i looked at reviews, appeard alot of people were getting clocks of 2.6-2.8ghz, so i bought it based on overclocking ability, and io got a good one, 2.8ghz, so check reviews first :), depends if you want to overclock tho.

Well overclocking will improve everything realy as your increasing the CPU's core speed, so if you overclock the 6300 to the speed of a 6600, then the 6300 should perform like a 6600 i belive as i dont think there is any differences between them exept for speed but i may be wrong.
