There are two things, which you need to look at properly.....

    1. PSU: A bad PSU can be dangerous for your whole system and your one seems to be a bad one to me. There is a small article writtin by Admin on it, which will tell you which company to go and what to look at in.. [link=http://www.hardwareforums.com/power-supply-sticky-5218/]Look Here[/link]

    2. Monitor: According to your information, it has 12ms response time, which is very slow. For gaming you are required to have 8ms or less.....

    3. You dont need to spend money on Antiviruses due to the fact there are some free and good ones available out there. For Security strength information you can look [link=http://www.hardwareforums.com/windows-xp-security-guide-9738/]Here[/link].

It will be a good gaming system for right now, provided you spend a bit more on the psu/monitor. I also suggest you look at Conroe cpus instead.

Don't expect it to be top of the line in 6 months, let alone 2 years. In 6 months it'll be mid-high range, and in two years it'll probably start to struggle a bit. DX 10 cards will come out relatively soon and we'll probably see cards with 1gb of memory within 12 months.

You don't look like you're on a tight budget. May I suggest 2x7950gx2 for quad sli ?

Remember there's always a game or two which stresses any gaming rig. Right now we could say Oblivion is that game.

thx for the info also maybe you could reccomend a few places to get a pc from of this spec as i dont know where to start lookin really.

i can get an 19" tft monitor with 8ms thingy

bt the brand is not shown on the power supplly i can choose a 600w super quiet quadrail psu/120mm fan and cpu cooling system.

would you reccomend me to buy this or look elsewere thx again

If they can tell you what brand and model the PSU's are, especially if they're a good brand, it looks like an awesome rig. However, if they can't/won't tell you the PSU in this system, look elsewhere. A good PSU is the foundation of a solid system. I hate to see someone looking to drop this load of cash on a system get stuck with the Yugo of PSU's in their otherwise Ferrari rig. Plus, at 25 Pounds, that seems a little cheap for a good PSU. There's a few exceptions, but generally, a good PSU that you'd want paired with this system would be in the range of $80-120 US (probably around 40-60 Pounds) not including VAT.

The GeForce 7950 GX2 is two video cards in one package, and is pretty much what the SLI 7900GTX configuration is for half the price. It's a little slower, but I don't think more than double the price is worth the money.

I reiterate my recommendation of going with a Conroe cpu.

I would also ditch Norton. There are very good free alternatives.

Also, unless you plan on getting a second 7950gx2 in the very near future, you can ditch the sli mobo and grab a non sli one for cheaper.
