Just a general question..how long does it usually take/should it take to compile and install WINE? Mine's been goin for about 15 minutes already, just wonderin if this is normal

*EDIT* it just finished..took around 20 mins.

*EDIT2* how do I start wine now? I tried running the wine and winex command and its not recognized, and It's not in the Kmenu.

you need to type the whole command like
"wine "/home/USERNAME/.wine/c/Program Files/Internet Explorer/IEXPLORE.EXE"" to run internet explorer....

I've got it from Mega's tutorials link....
You can also check how to run other programs like WMP or Outlook [link=http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=149585&highlight=wine]here[/link]....

And also to run just wine, you have to type wt ...

You really should be using the package manager to install wine, I've used it and it works fine for me.

Ya I did do that after, but I don't see any graphical interface, just the wine command via the konsole. Is it hiding somewhere?
