You might want to consider going with the E6600 instead of the E6700. I was told the performance gap between the E6400/E6600 is greater than than the gap between the E6600/E6700. However the price gap is smaller between the E6400/E6600 than the one between the E6600/E6700.
ok, we're going ahead with the E6600.... and decided w/ the 7900GT or possible GTX not sure which yet.... and any opinions on a MOBO... the one my brother selected only had a single PCI-E slot..... we wuill need two for SLI Thanks - Maniac
Asus P5NSLI based on the nForce 570 SLI. They also have an SE edition of their NForce 4 SLI x16 board that would work too. Off-hand, I think they're the only Intel-based boards that offer SLI support.
Awesome thanks for the find Big B.... and as far as a case I have a Lan-Li (sp) was wondering if there were any other cases with similar structure (clear window, sliding mobo tray), etc.... and as many if not more fans around the same price..... Thanks -Maniac
