Hello all, I'm going to be making myself a new gaming computer. My gaming computer right now really sucks. This is what I think I should put into it:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.63Ghz Processor
    ASUS P5B Deluxe Motherboard
    Samsung DDR2-667 1GB RAM
Western Digital Caviar SE16 SATA 250GB Hard Drive

Suggestions are welcome, but I would really like to stick to the Intel Core 2 Duo Platform. And I'm not really sure of what video card I should get either. I'm thinking of going with an ATI. Probably something from the Crossfire series. If anyone would know what the best Crossfire card is, could you also tell me thanks :D

Crossfire is ATi's competition to SLI. I believe any card ATI has out now is Crossfire capable. The best would be the X1950XT Crossfire edition, if you're going to run Crossfire. If not, the X1950XTX is the fastest card out there (for single GPU's).

Unless you've got a nice PSU, that'd also be something you'll want to invest in. Something like the following:

    Antec TruePower TPII-550 (550W)
    Enermax EG565P-VE (535W)
    Enermax EG701-AX (600W)
    Fortron/FSP Group AX700-GLN (700W)
    OCZ Powerstream 520/600 (520W/600W)
    OCZ GameXtreme 600/700 (600W/700W)
    PC Power & Cooling 850 (850W)
    PC Power & Cooling 1KW (1000W)
    Silverstone ST65F (650W)
    Seasonic S12-600 (600W)

I'm making the assumption that you'd go with a Crossfire. PC Power & Cooling are the best, but they are extremely expensive units, with the 1000W unit asking about $500US.

Thanks a lot, so this is what I’m pretty sure on doing.

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.63Ghz Processor
    ASUS P5B Deluxe Motherboard
    Samsung DDR2-667 1GB RAM
Western Digital Caviar SE16 SATA 250GB Hard Drive
    ATi X1950XTX 512MB 256-bit GDDR4 VIVO PCI Express x16 CrossFire Video Card

PCI express X 16 will work with the motherboard (ASUS P5B Deluxe Motherboard) ?

Since prices are only slightly different these days, consider using DDR800 instead. More advantage with that CPU.
