I want to set up a wireless lan between 2 computers and im not sure what I have to buy, I have seen these usb wireless cards, is it possible to buy 2 of these and have a connection between the 2 computers. And if so would it be possible for one computer to use the internet through the other computer.

At the moment I have a router with 2 slots one is usb going into 1 computer then the other is ethernet cable, then the 3rd computer I want to be able to connect to the computer using the ethernet. All I want is a 2 way connection but being able to connect it to the internet would be a bonus.

Hope I didnt make that complicated.

By the sound of it you need a router then, I was hoping if I bought 2 usb cards they would act as a lan wire without having to buy a router. Another thing im concerned about is do I have to buy a router to suite my internet provider, im with BT at the moment would I have to swap that around to there wireless deal.

No you don't have to buy a router to "suite" your ISP. Whatever wireless router you buy should do the job.

At the moment u have a router? That sounds like a modem if u say one slot is ethernet cable, the other is a usb cable...

Modems from ISP's can also have a USB port. They are modem/router 2 in 1 type of deal.
