    The guys at [H]ard|OCP have been over at Valve Software for a presentation on multi-threading the Steam engine and hybrid variations of threading for gaming. It's absolutely fascinating, so check it out:

    By “simulations riding on graphics,” Gabe was talking about games that not only look good, but actually have the physics, the AI, and the environment that make the gamer feel like they’re actually in the game. He says that multi-core will be able to improve the gaming experience by giving developers the CPU horsepower to get the physics, AI, and environmental systems running the way they’ve always wanted. We totally agree and started judging hardware years ago based on the immersive gameplay experience it facilitates rather than “how fast” it can go.

    yeah that is really interesting, i wonder if thats the new wave of games, cpu intensive instead of gpu intensive
