Hi all, I was just wandering if anybody knows if the new ATI X1650XT is going to be released on AGP?? I've had a look around but all I could see was PCI-E but I am sure I saw it somewhere else for AGP, could anyone help?
    Thanks all :D

I dont think it has been released for AGP yet, althought the X1650Pro has :)

***Edit*** the X1950Pro has also been released on AGP too, its about as powerfull as a PCI-E X1900XT

Hey Willz :D The X1650XT is better than the X1650 Pro in benchmarking tests so I would prefer the X1650XT as u can imagine... but i really do hope it comes out on agp. Btw - what nvidia card does the X1950 pro compare to??

umm, well from benchmarks an X1900XT can beat a 7900GTX or is about on par with the 7900GTX, so i wud say the X1950Pro compared the the 7900GTX :)

Right now, the X1650XT is PCIe only. However, seeing as the X1950 Pro will be making it's way to AGP, there's always the possibility. The only card in that price range is the GeForce 7600GS.

save up for the x1950pro unless ur planing on upgrading to pci-e, i wouldent be surprised if they bring some cards for DX10 out for AGP, well if any company does, it will be ATi.

I don't know. I think the DX10 cards might be the nail in AGP's coffin. ATi and nVidia are getting pretty stingy about AGP cards, so I think it's just a matter of time before AGP finally get's cut out completely, except for the rare instance where a company goes out on a limb and puts one out.

I might have to lol... i doubt i will get new comp for another half a year or so, so i just want a temp card for now.

I second that - agp is the new pci lol :p

LOL, the x1950pro can be more than a tempory card, when u get a new rig, the old one will be your old good rig still, it will still be ace lol with that graphics card in.

I dont know, it dont appear to be on overclockers.co.uk anymore since they changed the look of overclockers, but i know that the X1950Pro for PCI-E is around £149, and i was wrong, it dont perform as good as an X1900xtx, i think its close tho to it. Apparently Nvidia are unhappy with the launch of the X1950Pro for AGP so it seems Nvidia is going to be releasing a card for AGP to compete against the X1950Pro, maybe 7950GS?
