Hi all, I am about to buy an Nvidia GeForce 7600gt @ 256mb AGP8x, the thing is, the price range varies between £80 to £130. The problem here being that the price difference is down to the make lol. Its an Nvidia card, but the £80 one os a Club 3d one whilst the £130 one is an XFX one, i checked the specs together and saw no difference, can some please please tell me if there is any difference between the 7600gt@256mb by club 3d or by xfx??

    Thanx a lot guys :D

Whatever the difference is, its for sure not worth an extra £50.... Get the Club 3D one.

XFX is catering to the overclockers, and they also will trick their card out a little, so you do pay for it. Additionally, I know one of their models comes overclocked out of the box. That's mostly why they charge extra.

still, 50 extra is not worth it for factory overclocked, i mean it aint going to be blazing faster than the club3D one.

i mean 50 quid is a Large amount..

Yeh, i have to go there with willz... i mean, i am a little tight on budget atm - the thing is, if there is a really big difference between the 2 then i will get the xfx, however, is the difference is marginal, then i will have to go with the club 3d one? what you guys say? how big is the difference per say?

130quid for a 7600gt is too much i think, considering you can get x1800xt's for around 150 quid if they are still around. it wont be like 20 - 30% difference with the xfx, cant see it been alot, anyway, if i was on a budget, i would go club 3d, money to spend for hell of it, xfx.

Yeh fair play, but the thing is, the 7600gt is better than the x1800xt isnt it? oh, by the wat, the 7600gt club 35 version is £110 NOT £80 lol - i made a mistake sorry.. but yeh, anyway, the 7600gt is better than the x1800xt right?

No, an X1800XT is about twice as better as a 7600GT if the X1800XT is apparently twice as powerfull as my x800xt as the X800XT is about on par with the 7600GT, abit better in most cases though, so yea, X1800XT is deffo better than a 7600GT

LOL!! Exactly :p ahh well, thnx for the heads up on the card tho :D i think i'll just get the 7600gt - that'll do me nicely for the next 6 -12 months or so. Btw, one last thing - atm i am using a VGA connection from my gx card to my monitor, should I be using DVI instead? will that give better image quality etc?

if your monitor can do DVi, then use DVi, its digital, dunno if the quality will be better though.
