    I have windows xp, however it wont load and says
    windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt;
    WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

    It says i can repair this file by starting windows set up using the original setup cd rom select r at first screen,
    i cannot find original disc, so i have bought a new one, but it will not load
    please someone help me.also im not an expert so if you could explain in easy to understand language i would be grateful. thanks

    i hope this is in right place.

    1. When you computer starts, go to the BIOS(usually its DEL or F1 key, but u can see that key when ur computer starts)
    2. Select the first boot device to the CD ROM...
    3. Insert your win XP cd...
    4. Save and exit BIOS
    5. Computer will ask you to press any key to boot from CD....>press any key.
    6. After loading some drivers, computer will ask you to select some options....jst press enter for the new installation.
    7. Computer will detect the older version of the windows XP > Select that version and overwrite all the files....
    =============================================
    Hopefully this will make your computer working....
