my dad is using excel 2k, in excel 2k, & he wants to know how do you change the colour or font style of the sheet changing tabs

the reason he want to change the colour / font style is: he's using excel to do his bussiness accounts and has work sheets labled
    • Jan
    • Feb
    • Mar
    • etc.
    • etc.
and he wants to easily be able to tell if everybody has paid him for that month, or any other ideas

If I remember rightly, when you format a cell(s) you can do conditional formating. So when a cell has a certain value (for example <=> 0) it will colour the fond red or blue etc. and also bold it or underline etc. I am pretty sure you can also apply background colour to the cell or highlight it in a similar way.

Right click on the cell(s) and go to 'format cells' and then go to conditional formatting. Again this is all from memory as I am not at work today..... W00T!

I think he means the sheet tabs at the bottom of the screen. As I haven't used Excel in a long while, I'm not sure if there is one. I don't remember seeing an option like that.

I suppose you could just put [done] at the end of the sheet name whenever everything's been paid.
