With the help of the advise I got on this forum I've ordered all the components for my new computer. I've ordered a Gigabyte 7600GT card that has Dual DVI-I,Dual link DVI and as S Video listed under"connectivity" I intend to use this machine primarly as a media center and want to connect up to my AV system(43 pioneer HD ready screen) which as well as the usual scarts has a 15pin Dsub , S video, and 2 yellow jacks marked "video in". Can anybody suggest what leads/adapters I need to get the best picture. Thanks

I would of thought there would be a DVi connector on the back, if there was, maybe even a VGA connector, these will give the ebst picture quality, i think thenyellow jacks marked video in are composite, and there not very good, especially for HD.

is the Dsub a blue connector looking liek this:

if so you need this cable: (i would of thought one would come with the tv though)

    VGA Cable 2 metres

Thanks for the reply. Apologies, 1st what I was told was a Dsub connector is actually labeled "PC input terminal-analog RGB" in the book, its not blue although looks similar.
2nd.I reckon I should have given a bit more info on the system to help anybody understand what im up to and what set up is.
Pioneer 435XDE with a separate media reciever.
On front of media reciever there are the following inputs--
    s-video
    video
    audio
    (3 jacks)
    PC input terminal Audio
PC input terminal Analog RGB(thats the one mentioned above)
    On the back--
    3 scarts
    component video Y,Pb,Pr
    HDMI
    .
There are two system cables joining the screen to media box.

I want to get a feed from PC into media box, then hopefully to screen.I will also need to get sound feed into AV sound system (separate box).

no DVI only whats listed above, just want to do best job i can.ta

Check to see if your video card supports HDMI, thats the best connection to use.
