lian li locking pci card slots worth extra money?

The Noctua is better because it has 6 heatpipes on each heatsink as opposed to the 4 the Thermalright has. Dude... definitely over kill. I'm an avid gamer and i run on a stock cooler! I should really change it...... but anyway yes, def overkill. It's massive and has two heatsinks. Get one that...

    cpu for basic user?

Well there's more than one answer to your question. Not all AM3+ motherboards are backwards compatible with socket AM3 cpu's. It depends on the manufacturer's specs. The same goes for the heatsink. All the details about compatibility are listed in it's specs.

lian li locking pci card slots worth extra money?

Wow... that's one huge heatsink. What do you plan on doing with this thing? Hardcore gamer i assume? Some cases with clear side panels are more expensive because they're more favorable. I also prefer solid cases.

    Dungeon Siege 3

Got it 4 days ago and just beat it with Lucas. What are your views? Comments? Bugs? Loved the cinematic artwork and the plot. I think Obsidion could have made stretched the game a little more to include more lore items and side quests. I still think the quests in DS I and II were way cooler ;)...

Is overclocking your graphics card bad for the card, or the computer?

Yep. Unless you understand the consequences of overclocking, don't do it. You need good ventilation and proper o/c settings. Also, overclocking shortens the life expectancy of whatever it is you're overclocking.

    Second HD on a GA-EP43-UD3L

Sorry, no RAID on that one according to the manual :( I don't think you should partition for the sake of achieving better performance because you notice any. If you wanted to partition in order to safeguard all your important files (aka using windows on one small partition and the other larger...

lian li locking pci card slots worth extra money?

Nice case. Why wouldn't you want to have 2 front 140mm fans!? Point is to suck air in and out through the back. 140mm fans x 2 > 120mm x 1. 120mm in the back to blow air out is good enough too. Again, two bigger would be better. What heatsink do you plan on getting?

Really? Never knew that  Wish i could shine some light on the issue, but i'm posting to inform you that i have the same issue with my WD Passport, connected to Windows 7. I can tell you for sure that the Power Option under Windows is not to blame. Reinstalling chipset drivers didn't help...

    cpu for basic user?

Definitely. If all you plan to do is surf and use Office apps you'll be fine. No heavy processing required. And do you mean a motherboard which is backwards compatible with AM3/AM2?

dc 7700 sff pciex 16 power problem

A PCI express slot will deliver up to 75W of power. However, if the card need it's own power source directly from the power supply via 6/8-pin cables, it uses much less power from the slot (25-30W), and more from the power supply. PCIe's can deliver up to 75W, so you should have no problem...

    Razer Megalodon connection problem

Since you don't need to install drivers for this device, we'll have to confirm other configurations: In Device Manager, are there any items that need attention under "Sound"? Is there a red x on the Volume Control? How about re-installing the audio driver which can be found on your...

    Audio driver CPU usage

What program are you using to open audio files (vlc, winamp, wmp...)? Are these mp3's? As ghostman said, how much ram do you have and what bit o/s are you running? In device manager, do you see anything with an exclamation mark? Does Windows update offer any new recommended updates for your drivers?

    Connect monitor with HDMI cabel

Is it a high speed 1.4 cable or regular? What brand is it and how much did you pay for it? It could be a crappy cable... Also, there's probably going to be more to it than just connecting the cable... like reading the manual. You'll need to fool around the monitor settings and change the input...
