Hey guys - I'm not so hot on the very top end of hardware at the moment and could do with a little advice: Recent upgrade!: BFG GTX 295 AMD Penom II X4 940 AM2+ (Bought for a free overclock up to 3.42ghz - very stable with no extra power) And a clean and crisp install of vista 64 ult. In 3d...

    Time to move to 64bit?

Getting any hard drive errors in event viewer? You can check SMART error counters of all hard drives in speedfan (see sig) Um are you still using a maxtor and a samsung in a raid??, should always match the hdd's exactly for maximum stability.

    failed bios,new motherboard?

Eeep sounds like a bad flash - i always avoid windows based flashing utils for this very reason. If it really is as dead as you say contact the manufacturer - they may offer some sort of service to replace / reflash the actual chip. Always back up your files before sending it in for a service...

    SSD Worth It?

Ive been looking into them too mate, i think it is easily the best option if your really trying to push the limit of system speeds but probably not worth it unless you are already at the top of the hardware limits in the rest of your PC.

    Pc Temp help overheating???

How did you seat the Heatsink, did you use arctic silver or just the stuff that came on it from the store? Download and install Speedfan (see sig) and tell us what sort of temps you are seeing. That PSU may be a little under powered for that setup also, got any spares you can test it on?

    Dell Inspiron 1720 no sound...

In my mind this is one of two possible things - There is a setting wrong probably between digital & analogue outputs being set as default - check that in control panel - sounds (i could be more specific if you let me know the OS you are using) Or the headphone socket was damaged when you...

    The Witcher

My sentiments exactly, even some of the best games i'll never play more than once. the very few exceptions to this have been: FFVII FFVIII FFIX Morrowind Witcher doesnt do enough for me to want to start over again, don't get me wrong i think it was a good game, just not that good.

    2 Suggestions

Two little suggestions that i'd personally love to see for HWF 1. An RSS feed showing maybe the newest 5 posts so I can add it to my igoogle 2. Probably unlikely to happen but i'd love a mobile version of the site without adds & scripts that my blackberry could access easier and quicker...
