    why 99cents and not $1. (and $4.99 $6,995 / $14,995 etc)

I always look for what the best deal really is, I knew there was a reason Maths was a good subject to have a knack for. :P

    Old laptop problem

Right, the laptop is a Toshiba Portege 650CT. The disk drive is a Toshiba 3.5" floppy drive (external) ZA1215P02, if that makes any difference. About getting the HDD out, we've found the screws to open the casing, but I just need to buy a USB/IDE lead.

    why 99cents and not $1. (and $4.99 $6,995 / $14,995 etc)

Yeah, my old job did something similar, we put on sales a lot, granted there were some great deals, but some games didn't even drop by a penny, they just got a sale tag. And people still bought it.

    Internet Explorer Vs Firefox

I've been using Firefox for a long time and I've never gone back, in fact, I don't think I've ever intentionally opened IE on this computer, only when I've clicked on the Check Mail button in MSN by accident. Seriously though, next computer I have (hopefully a laptop very soon) won't have a...

    Old laptop problem

There is a com port and she has an external floppy drive that connects to the port, problem is that there's a problem with either the port of the drive. Whenever the drive is connected and with a disk in the drive the drive is inaccessible from My Computer.

    Old laptop problem

My fiance has an old laptop, I mean REALLY old, and there are files on there that we want to transfer to somewhere else, the laptop has no internal disc drives apart from the HDD so relies on an external floppy drive. Problem is that the external drive always comes back with the message "Device...

what does your home cinema look like?

My home cinema consists of an old TV hooked up to a 360. Or just a portable DVD Player if I'm playing a game already. :P

Sony Announces 80GB PS3 Bundle and Confirms Price cut

Yeah, they made Perfect Dark and Goldeneye for the N64, fantastic games. The only one that was close to not being a good game was Banjo Kazooie, I didn't like it too much, but that's just my opinion.

Battle Knight 2 Might have been better to edit your original Battle Knight post with the updated information rather than create a whole new thread. :)

I wondered where I put that money... *shifty look* But seriously, that would be a nice present, sod the PS2 I'd be happy with the money. :D

Sony Announces 80GB PS3 Bundle and Confirms Price cut

As I said in an earlier post, the people who make the machines and games don't realise just how much money can come from the EU gaming society. What few gamers realise is just how good EU-based games companies are at making games. For example Rare make amazing games, albeit they take a few...

    Hackers

From what I know of hackers and whatnot, if you hack something you really shouldn't, they're already onto you. So I wouldn't worry too much, it's really up to the authorities to decide things like this.

    Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! !!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! !!!!! Here's a solution to your problem, find out who did it, and when he's next in, take a monkey wrench to the back of his head, repeatedly. But... if you want a solution that WON'T get you imprisoned, well... perhaps try and...

    Software to Open ISO file

Same here, I use Daemon Tools to mount all my CD images, be they .mdf, .cue, .iso or whatever. If I need an actual CD instead of an image (like installing Linux from boot) then I use Nero (free with most CD or DVD drives) to copy from the Daemon Tools virtual drive to a blank disc in my DVD-RW...

    God, I hate Norton!

Just a small note to show how badly Norton does in retail, Game (or EB for you in the US) runs a promotion where if you buy a PC game from the top 30 chart, you get £20 ($40) knocked off Norton Anti-Virus. I wouldn't even take it if it was free! Actually, scratch that, I would, I need some...

    Are we permitted?

Hm, must've changed their T&C since I played, back then even if your partner or kids were playing on your account it was an issue to be banned by, friend of mine had that happen to them. Sorry for the mix-up. :)
