    Need Help got bad virus!!!!

I will go with Ghostman here, too! Format the hell out of that drive and use the recovery disks provided by the laptop vendor (if you don't have them, it may be possible to download them from the manufacturers website).

    core i5 430m vs core i5 450m

I would say that the real difference is how you use it - if you want to program in assembler or something, there are probably some differences, but otherwise it's just the raw MHz difference.

    Motherboards these days

PCIe>AGP. You'll need a new VGA, obviously - but it's twice as good. IDE is not quite dead, yet. Most of the CD/DVD drives work on IDE connections; but SATA drives are so cheap (got a 500GB for ~64$) that it won't be too much pain to throw away that old drive.

    Survival Game

I enjoy watching shows like Dual Survival, Man vs Wild, Survivorman. Todays DX11 gives quite some room for a possibility to create very vivid environments. How about this: I think that it would be both educational and interesting to have a RPG-like game with a vast explorable world (several...

    CPU fan always ON!!

Additionally to all that has been said up to this point, the fan amount is usually like 2< which have to cool the whole computer. that naturally translates into 24/7 fan spinning. All the heat-generating components - CPU, video card and others have heatpipes leading to just one radiator and one...

    Cannot get windows updates

Using the website should be equal to the normal windows updating process through the update manager. If that's enabled in your Security center then you're fine. I've frequently found that the windows update homepage is plainly not working and is quite buggy. I think that they don't really do any...

Hitachi 1tb drive making hamster noise and freezing for a few seconds.

I guess that the accoustics mgmt is something like this. Did you try to change any settings, cause apparently simply enabling it won't do any good. But before that you should disable it though, so you can be sure that the drive is operating w/o any alterations.

450w power supply to substitute and old 250W one

yeah, as long as you can attach the PSU to your motherboard, you'll be fine. The PSU outputs a max of its rated W only if required, otherwise it just gives only the requested amount of power into the system.

Hitachi 1tb drive making hamster noise and freezing for a few seconds.

Maybe you should run a couple 3rd party drive testing utilities like the ones found on Hirens Boot CD. If you say that the noise and freezeups emerge only when the drive is under load, then you should concentrate on stress testing. I had some annoying noises from my hdd too, but that was due to...

What should be the optimum mother board cpu temperature not to worry how to check

for the cpu - probably 30 deg C on idle and not much above 60 deg C when loaded. Those are the safe ones, but my i5 runs about 40 at idle and up to almost 70 when under load - still working fine.

My psu fan is not running will it be a issue

i also highly recommend to get a new psu. as ghostman said, the old one is bound to die pretty soon and the new parts would be far better off working with a shiny new (and quality strong-enough psu) power supply. Besides, are you sure that the old one is even capable of powering the new setup...

    Can I switch these cpu's?

find out what motherboard the vaio has and see the supported cpu list. the cpu will operate at the max fsb that the motherboard supports automatically, regardless of what it could theoretically work with (unless the mobo max fsb is higher than the cpus fsb, then of course the cpu would work...

Is it possible for my computer to live again?

cleaning it is definately a thing to start with. What i would also do, is to try to give it a nudge. I have seen fans that have stopped working because of having like jumped out of their normal operating position. Sad thing though is that whenever i have had to deal with noisy fans in my...

PC crashes when using anti virus or heavily memory.

Try memtest to see if your memory is faulty. If it is, try to pull out one of the memory modules (if you've got more than one, that is :D ) to weed out the faulty module. If the memory checks out fine, you're gonna have to see in BIOS if the RAM timings are OK.

    Reformatting HDD, releasing full capacity

I assume that you haven't tried this: go to Computer>Left-click>Manage. In the left pane select storage>disk management. It is quite probable that the second partition is not formated and thus windows doesn't show it. You have to initialize/format the partition (the partitioning should be quite...

Requesting medi... assistance about new video card

I agree to RHochstenbach - a GeForce GTX 460 would be bottlenecked by all the other components. Mostly the CPU. The Pentium D is a office CPU - you should get a Core 2 Duo or a Core 2 Quad.
