Celerons, regardless of clock speed are pretty appauling for gaming, especially games like COD2. The CPU will be bottling the system no doubt, and I would predict little to no change if you reinstall windows xp. Of course, it's worth a try :)

Hm, if I recall you should be able to drag a shortcut icon into: Start>>All Programs>>Start up. That should work.

I get this sometimes, you can use a program called Tweak UI - it's a microsoft "Power Toy". Can set it to automatically logon to which ever account you want, as well as disable shortcut icons, change visual settings, and a host of other things. Main Downloads Page Direct Download Link

What happens when you attach the player to the pc via USB (presumably thats how it is connected)? If a window pops up informing you that new hardware was detected, then run that wizard, browse to the location of the drivers and see if that will install it. If nothing pops up, or the device...

You should have a CD that came with the Player? If so just run that and it will install the driver for you - just follow the on scren instructions. If you have no CD, or have already tried that, then let us know what you have tried as opposed to a vague explanation. Thanks :)
