19" CRT or LCD for gaming

LOL. Thanks for everything guys. I think I'm gonna go with the LCD, mostly because of the size, I saw a 19" CRT on my friends desk and that thing is HUGE. And I just love thin.

    16: ratio in games

Mostly depends on what games you play. Battlefield two will stretch, because it doesn't have the right resoplution settings, while Half Life 2 will look fine because you can choose between the wide and standard aspects. So look up the games you play the most and see if they support widescreen.

Celeron Upgrade Advice - Please help.

Yeah, dont buy an AGP card without checking out to see if you actually have the slot. My stupid eMachines case, you know the little stickers that say all the "cool features", said I have blah, blah, blah AGP, but it wasn't an AGP slot they were talking about, turns out my desktop doesn't have an...

What will the PSU power without the processor?

So what youre saying is that my DVD Drive should be functioning? Because its not ejecting or anything. Everything else besides that and the HDD LED is getting power.

Question about EVGA 7950 Gx 512 MB

I've been hearing very good reviews about the Antec True Power 5.0 550W Power Supply. That's the one I ended up going with even though I don't have the GX2, I know it's capable of providing more than enough power for it. Here it is----> Antec Tru Power Or, you could always go for the best...

19" CRT or LCD for gaming

One more question, is there a huge difference between a DVI and an Analog cable? The monitor I'm thinking about doesn't come with a DVI and they are like 12 bucks. Is the image that much sharper?

What will the PSU power without the processor?

I thought that the answer would be "everything". I have everything needed inside my new rig besides the processor. I turned her on and all the lights and fans came on. I heard my HD start spinning, and two of my mobo LEDs came on. My video card fan kicked on too. But I hit the eject button on my...

DX10 cards to smoke my crap

If your question is "will DX10 games be backward compatible" which I believe is what you're getting at, then I say yes. That would be very ignorant of game companies to not make games compatible with DX9. As for all the new "bling" that DX10 is going to offer, no DX9 cards won't be able to give...

    AM2 Gaming Rig: Processor

Is there any physical differences between the 3500 and 3800? Or is it just just clock speeds? Because I don't want to spend more money on something that I can push higher anyway.

    AM2 Gaming Rig: Processor

I was debating between the Athlon 64 3500+ and the 3800+ X2. Now I know that the X2 is the better CPU, but will I tell that much of a difference if I mostly use this thing for gaming?? Its like a $70 price diff. My Hardware: DFI Ifinity Mobo Jaton 7900gt WD Caviar 200GB Samsung...

Front panel indicators:trying to wire them to the mobo

Thanks for all the help donkey. I have a DFI Infinity Mobo and an Apevia(aspire) X-plorer case. BTW, i did all this w/o the processor in(don't have it yet), I just wanted to make sure all the lights and hardware were functioning, could that be why the HDD LED isnt coming on? I know the HD is...
