A corrupted software from the cd can cause freezing but since you mentioned that you cd is working fine in other pc, then we can eliminate that angle. It is most likely a BIOS issue. Do a USB firmware update. Your last resort is to reset the Bios settings.
You are good to go with a 4gig. Like I said, I am not pretty sure if your the OS installed supports 64bit drivers. You may also find this link helpful.
Thanks. It is actually the newest MACBOOK PRO. This guy from the store was trying to upsell the 64bit to her. I said to hold off for now. I am not sure if that's gonna do any good to her machine.
We are planning to install Windows on my sister's Macbook Pro. My question is, is it okay to install a 64bit Windows 7 on a Macbook pro? Would it be better to use it with Parallels/Fusion or Boot Camp?
The computer has been sitting unused for 2 years and we can all assume that the fan had accumulated a good amount of dirt. You can use a computer vacuum to clean it. Then try turning the pc on again. If it still noisy, it's time to get a new fan or new power supply. Good luck!
Start with the power supply's fan. If the fan is not working properly (which I am certain since it should not produce a noisy sound), it could cause heating of the motherboard ergo, you are seeing the error message to shut down.
Sorry for your loss. The saved files are more important than the flash drive itself. Kudos to RHochstenbach for the great suggestion. Wonder how much the service would cost.
Agree with Sniper. Try another one if you can get one otherwise, it's time to replace that old keyboard with a USB, better yet get a wireless bluetooth keyboard if your laptop supports it.
What OS does these come with? From the looks of it, they are both good machines though Dell has a better after care warrant. If one does not come with Windows then I'd for the other one. Maybe that could be the deal maker.
AA batteries. The charger comes with 6 AA rechargeable batteries. It recharges two batteries at the same time. My Energizer battery charger charges 4 batteries at the same time.
Apple announced their newest addition to their family:
The Battery Charger
and Magic Trackpad
I like the idea of a big trackpad for my Macbook. It's a lot more convenient.
The price is pretty much explainable. Apple is doing a great job on the upgrades, I could not complain. I like the iMacs that came out too. The thing is, you can only get the the i5s and i7s on the 27" screen.
^Seriously 40 bucks??? If I will be paying 40 bucks for a computer then I'd go for it. SOme online stores sell refurbs just a couple hundred less from the brand new that's why I would be willing to pay the difference just to get a new one.
