Well it's not that outdated... and since the DVD functionality of this box is kind of flaky, I'd rather stick to something on cd. I've had problems with other distros on this box, I get errors like "please use a distro made for your cpu" or it'll just spin up the disc and reboot the pc. RH 6.2...

K fixed it, nevermind. Noticed though that I have no sshd, which brings me to another point... I have no yum repository access. Yum is an unknown command. I need apps such as sshd, vsftpd, etc. How can I get them? I'm on RH 6.2.

Oh boy I feel stupid now haha. I'll change the lo cfg file back to normal, and I dropped in an ethernet card that I HOPE RH will see. I'll post in a few with results.

For some reason, one of my web servers is feeling it necessary to ask for a username/password when serving a php file. I've enabled the IUSR and "everyone" user to have even full permissions, and it's still asking for this. I've done an iisreset and everything. I've never seen this before and...

No physical access. I had it working before on Fedora 10, but for some reason on CentOS it won't work. No httpd service in init.d, I'm used to just saying 'service httpd start' Not sure what the problem is.

Well I had Fedora 10 on it last night, but I am used to CentOS and similar so I reinstalled with that. But since they only manage the physical box and connectivity and etc they are zero help. So all I have to go on is forums and Google, which has been no help.

IE8 actually doesn't seem all that bad to me. On one of my virtual machines I upgraded to 8 and doesn't seem too buggy.
