    HD Video Poll

Yeah composite is only one level above coax and below S-Video, Component and HDMI-DVI. So for a system hyping 1080p you'd think they'd at least include a component cable. When I can get decent component cables for $5.00 CDN for my business I'm sure Sony could've easily thrown one in but were...

    Favorite 360 game

Contra has to be Contra or maybe Gauntlet. JK :). I'd say it's a tie between Gears of War & Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

    HD Video Poll

The only problem with the PS3 though is the lack of a compnent or HDMI cable in the box. Because of this how many average consumers are going to hook up the system with the composite cable they did include and say they can't see the difference between HD and SD content.

    People's impressions on the PS3

I got a unit on the 17th and so far it hasn't been the major revolution we were supposed to be seeing, the only launch title really worth owning is Resistance and Gears of War I'd have to say is a better game. The sports games look the same or even worse than their 360 counterparts. Also the...

    Sony Comments on Backwards Compatibility

The only thing with that though is MS never promised 100% compatibility, and actually at first said there would be no backwards compatibilty but when they found out the could emulate titles on the 360 threw it in as a bonus. Sony on the other hand has made huge promises and hasn't really...

    HD Video Poll

Blu-Ray is catching upto HD-DVD in terms of quality although the HD-DVD releases tend to have more features (May be changing if Sony gets everyone their Blu-Wizard authoring tools). Unless you buy both formats you won't get all the movies available as Universal is strictly HD-DVD and Fox...

Xbox 360: HD and Networking Questions

Not sure what Best Buy is offering in the states but quite often Future Shop which is owned by BB here has on a Trendnet Wireless G router & USB network card for anywhere between $9.99 and $14.99. I'm thinking if you look around BB or Circuit City should have similar deals.

    Sony Comments on Backwards Compatibility

The main thing here is that Sony promised 100% compatibility and didn't deliver. The part about some games not following Sony's standards was supposed to be a non-issue since Sony put the Emotion chip into the PS3 to alleviate that problem. Not sure what's happening with Sony but I think...

iPod owners 'thieves', implies Universal Music boss

Kind of funny I could have sworn those 1000 or so cd's I have were bought at a store. Guess since I must have stolen them all Universal should give me back my money for any titles I own from their catalogue :). I know the recording industry tried the same thing here in Canada by charging a...

iPod owners are 'thieves', according to Universal Music CEO, Doug Morris. Morris was discussing Microsoft's recent attempt to buy its way into the music industry by paying a $1 per unit royalty on Zune players sold. The music boss revealed that he had insisted on such a royalty in order...

    AMD PIC Gets Terminated

AMD's $185 Personal Internet Communicator (PIC) was introduced in 2004 and has never amounted to any serious financial gains for AMD. With little interest in the device and wide-support building for the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) initiative, AMD saw no other choice but to can the project. The...

why is there a difference in quality for phone and digital cameras

The biggest difference between a camera phone and a regular camera is that camera phones tend to use plastic lenses and only feature digital zoom, while digital cameras tend to use glass lenses and most offer an optical zoom. I know there are a couple of phones that have switched to glass...
