I have never heard of this before my lcd makes no sound at all but I dont think they will fix you up with a new lcd if it is still working fine

YOU MUST HAVE THERMAL PASTE!!! :doh:
Have you looked under hardware monitor or hardware heath or somthing like that for the temps?

It is unlikely to be the MBord as you mostly hear a ban or smoke or something it it has blown out.
