yeah,i can download...but the signal is quite weak..there are 2 indicators on the modem..one is the signal n the other is the quality.. the signal gets to only about 2 bars out of 8.. the quality gets to 4 or 5 bars out of 8.. is there some way to increase its signal?

i agree with Calebcross..but if he's using the pc usually for games then i would recommend a pci-express motherboard with atleast a nvidia 6600 card..or if the mobos an AGP then atleast a nvidia 5700 or 5900 card will do..pliz provide specs of system and wat ur son is intending to do with it..

it will most probably work in a AGP 4x slot..the main theory is that the AGP 8x card will automatically downsize to the 4x speed..so yah it will work coz i did test a few cards on my 4x mobo..pliz reply to give some feedback.. cheeers
