doom3 isnt that scary, but from WWR's view, it may get abit scary...id say its not scary, just full of surprises

hi there dudes,its not actually my problemo,its my frends,,he wants to play some games,but as usual now games require directx9..i gave him my copy of directx9.0c,i installed it in my pc successfully, but theres an error message when he tries to install it in his pc..it says it cannot install...

try cleaning the socket....it may work.....

n one more thing try playing the game using 16bit color n either 640x480 OR 800x600 resolution...lower the texture details n this may help to improve performance..

sometimes if u have extra RAM, programs start to take up lot of time to startup/load...try playing using 512mb RAM....also defragment your hard disk, use a defragmenting utility like Nortons Speed Disk...it may also skip if u have a lot of background applications in the taskbar..eg NortonAnti...

its quite impressive id say but lets c if it still has a deeep storyline....

well for around 100 bucks, id recommend the geforce FX 5700.. u can find all the info on the card at www.newegg.com search for geforce fx 5700...ull get alot of good cards under 100 which definitely can handle more than DVD playback...hope this helps...

i once read in a magazine that workers of the linux actually hacked the system and used d xbox to operater linux based applications..m not sure but they did open the xbox n do some stuff to it..i read it in a mag b4 last year..ill get some info next time i post..

hey u said u booted up the pc and NOTHING...seems like a PSU problem to me..is the PSU - power supply unit fan spinning??check that out first..

u said when u play games the power supply unit starts to sound louder,therefore i also agree with Addis that it might well be a PSU problem..try to test using a different PSU...

try using a different mobo...u hav tried a different cpu so i guess your mobo maybe damaged...hope im wrong...

how much RAM do u have and which type of RAM is it?? try testing using a different agp card..
