    Thats because as we get older all our inhibitions grow, for most people anyway. Also it's not seen as 'mature' (or cool to most people) to be running around touching each other and running away again :x:

    I have no idea about other OS's apart from windows (shame on me). it could still run just without a CDRW or floppy, but i suppose it would be a bit hard to clear the HDD or install a new OS without a D:\ drive. And besides my current budget for doing anything this month is £0.00. :(

    Simple case of plugging in and go? don't have to change power distribution in the BIOS or something? :P Can't be that simple... *runs off to try* :x:

    I read in a guide to using two displays that you need your graphics card to have two output 'plugs/connections/things to connect your diplay to' (or whatever the correct term is). Is this strictly accurate or is there a way to divide between my mobo VGA output and my card's DVI output? :)

    I hardly use my phone at all! and i'm sure i would love the IPhone or N95 or any other alternatives for maybe a week but then i would just forget about it most likely. It's not nearly worth it enough for the money! especially on my pay :D

    SOLVED! I took it to my knowledgable friend and he had a look. a few of the pins on the CPU chip were slightly bent! a few nudges later and i'm up and running perfectly and using it right now to write this! :chk: Thanks Sniper for trying to help :)

    my monitor gives me no options, no switchs/buttons on it at all apart from the ones to access brightness/contrast etc. i can't even access those.

    I'm trying it on the TFT monitor through the DVI graphics card now but where i would normaly get a no signal message it's just a black screen at the minute. EDIT: it's giving me the no signal message! (it's an old monitor and needs to warm up) i don't have another wire to try either.

    I have just (again) replaced my old CPU with my new one and it now runs without cutting out. So i guess its just the monitor problem so i can see what it's outputting...
