Thanks, i have reinstalled windows from the start and only installed the latest video drivers, no Catalyst or sound software installed, only other drivers are the latest LAN driver. All drivers the latest from ATI web site, problem still happens thanks for your comments

Power supply is a UK branded by Ebuyer compter suppliers, gets good reviews on stability. Log files, i get several dmp files, all refer to the ATIeee.exe, which point me to the graphics card. however all the test i have run on it have passed.
