Whats the model of your computer? The Acer site should have some info on what the motherboard will support. I googled the model number of that mobo and first result sent me to the Packard Bell site, but no info on what this motherboard supports, I think it may support DDR2 5300 though.

Yea 2 x 5132mb dual channel would proberbly offer better performance than 1gb stick as one stick is like 64bit I think and 2 sticks in dual channel offer 128bit. I think you should contact the store and return them to get the dual channel you ordered.

With my X800XTPE I could run GRAW at maximum settings with stutter sometimes due to only having 1gb of ram, I dont see why you should not be able to run all the games on max, allthough I dont think you will be able to run S.T.A.L.K.E.R. at maximum though, 8800's seem to be needed for that atm...

Yea the 8800 may have DX10 support, most people buy then for DX9 as there is no gaurantee that the 8800 series will run DX10 games to a good level. Also, Pipelines are not the same anymore as far as I can tell due to the different architecture there not pipelines, its shader units etc... but...

There are currently no DX10 games out, and by the time there is, 8800 series cards will be old, I dont think they will do good at DX10 tbh. Also, Nvidia Vista drivers seem preety crap atm :(

Does the 2 connectors have female molex connection or male? if there both male then I think both will need connecting. I think only 1 connection will be needed, is there 2 molex connectors on the card?, if there is only 1, then 1 molex connection will only be required.
