    Comparing a GTX260 vs a 4890 is like comparing a Lamborghini to a Ferrari. They are both quality, and they will server you well. I have used them both. And there is little to no difference. also in this case the gtx will out perform the 4890 because you have a board with an nvidia chipset.

    What I say you do, is run one stick at a time. If one gives bsod then you know its thats one. Also how frequent was bsod? and before you go testing ram make sure you test both of them equal amounts of time, to ensure it is a ram related problem
