Maybe you run Photoshop or some other software show creates large temp files.

I've used some time ago norton ghost 2003 to perform disk clone. Maybe it will help you too.

Or you try to increase max system temp from BIOS.

On your manufacture website you'll find your drivers... Toshiba has an good UI and the walkthrough is very simple.. Choose model, and you'll get a list with all drivers. Good Luck

Maybe when playing games the temperature is way to high... Try increase max temp from bios... if is to low

I've tried an dedicated HDD cooler and there was not so much improvement... Some times removing cover is not a very good ideea because the air cicle is interrupted. Try add an addional case cooler.

If you have warrenty for every component then i guess shoud it won't be any problem... but if you have a warrenty over all system then you may loose it if you perform additional upgrades
