only had the modem a month, first 2 weeks it was fine. then i started playing up, don't know what happened. I don't have anything else plugged in. The webcam was installed prior to the modem. Thank you for your help gonna try scanning

it started out as just MSN Messenger and hotmail, but now it is starting to do it on other programs that I have to log into, I can't use my online banking or my webcam on yahoo. The only warnign I get is hearing the modem click off, just before I get the disconnected message

Can ne1 help me with a lil problem, everytime I try to go onto MSN messenger or access anything to do with it eg. Hotmail, I get disconnected from the internet. I have tried a different ISP, reinstalled xp, anyone got any suggestions what the problem might be.:confused:

Hi I use to have a similar problem on NTL, try getting a new cable, as it might have a loose connection or a break in the cable, that's what I had to do. I hope this helps.
