2 master Hard Drives?

I now have 2 hard drives in this machine now... Both hard drives are masters. The second drive put in doesn't seem to have the option of slave. My question is will this cause any problems for us at all?

Also, in the new drive we put in, all the writing is blue. (The file names, folders and descriptions, stuff like that). Is there a particular reason for that?

I think as long as they are working properly, its fine!
 
Both has Different Speed, wires interface and different way of managing...
IDE: You need IDE cable, speed is slower and more than 1 IDE drive requires u do jumper settings..
SATA: Faster and needs SATA cable for it.. You dont have to set the jumper settings for it unless u have got SATA2 and your computer only supports SATA1. With the SATA drives, you set the master from BIOS.

Edit: Forgot to write if you have SATA and IDE both the HDD(the one u've got).... in this case as well, you have to set the master slave from BIOS.
 
Unlike IDE (aka PATA), SATA only has one device per chain. PATA supports up to 2. There's no sense making a SATA drive anything but master, since you can't have a slave without a master. You wouldn't be able to change the master/slave designation in BIOS as this is configured via jumper(s) on PATA drives.
