Hey guys. I have a question. Which of the following three video cards would be the best one to get? 9600 Pro 9700 9800SE They are all near the same price, but I am not sure which to get. I think it is between the 9600 Pro and the 9800SE, but I could very well be wrong. Please help me out.
The 9700 is faster than the 9800SE if I'm not mistaken. The 9600 Pro and the 9800SE are very close. I'll look around and come back to you on that. One thing that's certain is that the 9700 is faster than the 9600 Pro.
Ok, here's the deal. I've found out that only the 256 bit version of the 9800SE is faster than the 9700 and the 9600 Pro. This is the one with the L-shaped memory (2 chips on the top and two on the side). This is also the one that is moddable to a true 9800 Pro. all the other ones are on par or slower than the 9600 Pro. So to sum up: 1. 9800SE 256 bit 2. 9700np 3. 9600 Pro 4. Every other 9800SE So basically, if you're not gonna' get the 256 bit version, get one of the other two.
