LOL, whats up everyone.
Just found this forum since im trying to upgrade my computer.
It is unable to keep up with my skill level in CS:S.

My Nvidia Ti4600+ is a 4x AGP video card I believe.

Does this mean i can buy a 4x/8x x800 and itll work assuming my power supply is sufficient?

I never messed with the hardware of a computer too much before, last time i did was like.. 2001 in korea.
So, im a nub. Please someone help me out.

I want to play Battlefield 2 because Counter strike source is getting very very old and boring. You can only get so good then you feel bad for killing people so bad after a while lol... im serious. sometimes ill only use pistols just so people wont leave the game so I can have someone to play with.

My specs btw:

AMD Athlon XP 2400+
512mb of ram (i know i know lol, i can buy more when i get my vid card off newegg)
80 gig harddrive.
nvidia ti4600+ (when tv/out was something to brag about i think)
Motherboard........ how can i found out thru the desktop?
When i was at south carolina my computer went thru a power surge and some dude put in a different motherboard but i dont even know what he put in, but everything else is the same >.<
i wasnt even home when he put in a new one, my dad took it to him.

:agree: yeah, but make sure you have a good brand PSU, look at my computer on the left to see my specs, add your specs by clicking here

if you need a new PSu, a thermaltake TR2 420Watts is a very good choice for price V quality.

Anyhow, yes, you will be able to run an AGP 8x card, even if your motherboard only supports up to 4x, it will just run at 4x instead of 8x.
