754 motherboard memory

    I have lost the manual for my foxconn 754 motherboard, i thought it said that it can support dual channel memory but someone told me all athlon 64 754 boards don’t support dual channel memory is this true? and does anyone know where i could get an online manual for my board.

    ok well i jst looked at my board and as it only has 3 memory slots i take it, it cant support dual channel

    Socket 754 CPU's do not support dual-channel memory functions. AMD jumped to Socket 939 to have this feature.

    Unlike traditional CPU-chipset relationships, the Athlon64/Opteron/Sempron64 lineup integrates the memory controller onto the CPU rather than the chipset. This is where the A64 family gets a lot of it's grunt from, not because of the 64-bit support.
