I think my 9600XT is getting far too hot. I booted up and looked at the temperature and it was 62 degrees C. I then also noticed the fan speed was set to 0%. So i turned it upto 100% and waited awhile, but it kept going up. So I think switched it off for half an hour, and then back on. The fan speed is still 100% but temperatures when idle can vary from 40 degrees to 60. At present the card is not overclocked, but sometimes I do to play games like Far Cry. I have included a link to a screenshot of the TRIXXX utility and SpeedFan (though neither show the same temp) .

    Thanks, Thomas

try cleaning the fan from dust. grab a paint brush and just brush out the dust or get an air compressor to blow it out. dust can cause heat rises in cards. also, ventilation. is there enough room for air to flow to your GPU?

Thanks, had a look again this morning at the temps and it seems fine now. If I get some free time I will take it out and have a look.
