ok i have a preshott cpu socket 478 and i was wondering of i could mount a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler to it its said to be made for Socket 775 but if i take off the heatsink base on the motherboard of the socket 478 i should be able to no¿ i plan to mount this on this mobo .a ASUS P4P800SE Socket 478 click here for mobo :ff:
The bracket mounting for Socket 478 heatsinks are not in the same relative location as the holes for LGA775 heatsinks. That unit will not work.
