I have a Asrock combo z board that is in my comp at the mo (please try not to laugh i know its rubbish). Originally i bought an Abit kv8 pro board for its overclocking ability which i still have but i had problems getting any monitor to recognise that there was a comp attached. Now i know the phrase if it aint broke dont fix it but im wondering if maybe there were some way i could get it working. This is after my brother who is a network engineer and my sisters husband who is a systems engineer said it wont work. Maybe a 3rd opinion would put my mind at rest.
Current spec:- asrock combo z, overclocked AMD 64 3000 2.0ghz (2.3ghz) socket 754, Geforce 6600gt, overclocked 1 gig of corsair ram, 160gig seagate HD, 500w psu,
So is it a 'yey give it a go' or a nay ' if it aint broke don't fix it'

.... And what is the computer problem you are experiencing?

If I understood your post correctly, you can't get a video output from the motherboard? If that's the case, then why don't you plug in an external graphics card?
