adding harddrive question.....

I have an on board intel raid (matrix) on 4 hard drives set with raid 10. I want to add a filth hard drive in the raid can I just add it and make it part of the raid in the raid controller and would it rebuild itself and have 5 hard drives instead of 4 with out loosing any data?
 
I shouldn't think adding a fifth hardrive would affect your entire data. if when you added on the 4th and it didnot affect your data then I wouldn't see why a fifth would affect your hardrive.

Had I done that I would have known this who said I added a fourth drive? Are you aware of how to build a new array?
