Hello all! This is my first post but I've been reading threads on the forums here for a while now, I just finally got around to signing up. I have a very basic, very newb question(s) about a new computer/build. I at the moment have a "community" computer a friend and I share and I'm looking to get a PC of my own. I have a couple of buddies that built a pretty good beast by buying the parts and assembling the computer themselves. That is a route I'm considering but my question lies all in cost and where would be the best place to buy the different parts. I understand that cost all depends on what exactly I buy but I'm not looking at anything top of the line right now. Maybe somewhere in the middle. I hope to do some gaming on this computer and deal with a bit of media/music. Again, I haven't done this before, so all answers and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
GIGABYTE boards are my current fav and they range from the lower end to higher spec builds but pick up an 8400 and 4gigs of ram "or more" and ull be siting pretty for a while
