On Windows, I use AVG free edition, nice size for a capable AV. Very good update response as well.

I use Bitdefender pro plus and it is great,It has a built in firewall and spam gaurd.
I have tested the firewall at Gibsons research and it passed the shields up
test.. I did use AVG untill it let in a couple trojans.. Anyway I did find another real good firewall and it is free... It is called comodo... Comodo also makes a Free antivirus as well. It is worth looking into.

I use AVG Pro - I used to use AVG Free but liked it so much - and way more than Norton - that I decided to show my appreciation by paying for the Pro version. For the average user the advantage of the Pro over free is the extremely flexible scheduling with Pro.

The advantage of AVG Pro over most other Pro versions is subscriptions cost less and are for twice as long - 2 years - good deal.

I used to have McAfee SecurityCenter but it sucked, because it uses ActiveX you have to have M$ Internet Explorer as the default browser or it would lock-up and freeze. That's what their Technical Support told me..

Now I am giving Avast! Free edition a try and up to now it's really good. I have had several updates from it too.

I really want to install Panda Internet Security 2006, but I get an error, after the first step, displaying that McAfee VirusScan is still installed lol typical.

Zone Alarm Pro, only because it stops Windows nagging for antivirus!
