    hi all , i have a armada m700 and i broke it yesterday :(
the fan got blocked (there was a paper napkin in front of it , and i didn't noticed it :smash: )
anyway S*** happens , after the incident the fan didn't work anymore , so i grabt my screwdriver and went to work , and it looks like the cpu got overheated .
My question is , can i still use the tft of the laptop , is there anyway i can use it for another comp ? i have an old celeron (600) , and i wanne use it as mp3 player , is there anyway i can hook up the tft whit that comp ?

    thanks ; Jef

The laptop's CPU is traditionally been soldered into the motherboard of the laptop. While new laptops are making moves toward less integration, unless you have some mad skills with a soldering iron (and the balls go to with the procedure)...plus, the current CPU in the laptop may very well have a different pin-out than the celeron you want to use.

The screen can probably be used, but you're looking at rewiring the cabling to make it work properly. If you can find the way the wires are setup, you might be able to rig it up, but that's a big if. Linky.
Of course, if you're laptop is still under warranty, I'd pursue getting that fixed. Blocking the fan shouldn't kill that fan, although it's still not good to do.
